Professional Remote Online Notarization — From Wherever You Are
Need a document notarized but don’t want to travel to a notary?
Empire National Document Services, LLC provides remote online notarization Delaware services for eligible documents and signers through a secure online process.
With RON, you can meet with a commissioned Delaware notary through secure audio-video technology, verify your identity, electronically sign eligible documents, and complete your notarization without meeting the notary in person.
How Remote Online Notarization Works
01 — Start Your RON Appointment
Create or access your BlueNotary customer account and begin your online notarization appointment.
02 — Verify Your Identity
You’ll complete the required identity verification process before the notarization can proceed. Delaware requires specific identity-proofing procedures for remotely located individuals.
03 — Meet With Your Notary Online
You’ll appear before the notary through secure audio-video communication. Your notary will confirm your identity, review the applicable notarial requirements, and guide you through the signing process.
04 — Sign & Notarize
You’ll electronically sign the applicable document while appearing before the notary. The notary will complete the required electronic notarial certificate and electronic seal.
05 — Receive Your Completed Document
Once the notarization is completed, your finalized electronic document can be delivered according to the applicable transaction or platform process.
Who Can Use RON?
RON may be a convenient option for:
- Individuals who live outside Delaware
- Clients who cannot easily travel to a notary
- Business owners and corporate clients
- Real estate and mortgage professionals
- Attorneys and law firms
- Clients handling personal or financial documents
- Clients traveling or working remotely
- Individuals who prefer online appointments
- Organizations that need convenient remote notarization
The signer does not have to be physically located in Delaware for a Delaware RON appointment; the Delaware notary performing the notarial act must be physically located in Delaware.

Before You Book Your RON Appointment
Remote online notarization Delaware appointments depend on the document, signer eligibility, identity verification, and applicable legal requirements. Before booking, confirm that your receiving organization accepts remote online notarization and that all required signers can participate. If you are unsure whether your document qualifies, contact Empire National Document Services before scheduling.

Important Information
Remote Online Notarization provides a convenient way to complete an eligible notarial act electronically, but a notary’s role remains limited.
A notary cannot:
- Provide legal advice
- Explain the legal effect of a document
- Tell you whether you should sign
- Prepare legal documents
- Choose legal documents for you
- Provide financial, tax, or investment advice
Questions about the legal meaning or consequences of a document should be directed to an attorney or other qualified professional.

Delaware RON Requirements
Delaware requires a Delaware notary performing a remote notarial act to follow applicable requirements for identity verification, communication technology, electronic records, and audio-video recording. Delaware law also requires the applicable recording to be retained for at least 10 years unless a different period is established by applicable rules.
Empire National Document Services can help you review the requirements before scheduling remote online notarization Delaware services.
Delaware also requires notaries performing remote or electronic notarizations to use technology approved by the Delaware Notary Department.
